2026 Summer Explorers and Secondary Summer School Program Reports
The Summer Learning Leadership Team shared highlights, successes, and future considerations. Scott Peters, Janet Bauer, and Joscelyn McAulay presented the Summer Explorers Program report. Tom van Hunenstijn and Katie Caines presented the Secondary Summer School report.
Employee Engagement Pulse Survey Results
Associate Superintendent of Human Resources Patricia La Framboise-Lo presented the 2025–26 Employee Engagement Pulse Survey results, including participation rates, key improvements, priority areas for continued attention, and themes identified in employee comments.
2026-2027 School Start-Up Report
Superintendent Dr. Ngieng presented the 2026-2027 School Startup Report.
Framework for Enhancing Student Learning (FESL) Report
Superintendent Dr. Ngieng presented the 2026 Framework for Enhancing Student Learning (FESL) Report to the board for approval. Motion was carried to approve the report in compliance with the Ministry policy.
Operations
Joint Use Agreement
The Board of Education approved the proposed Joint Use Agreement between School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) and the City of Abbotsford, effective January 1, 2027.
Capital Bylaw No. 2026/27-CPSD34-03
The Board of Education approved the School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) Capital Plan Bylaw No. 2026/27-CPSD34-03, be given third reading, reconsidered, and finally passed and adopted on this 22nd day of September, 2026.
2025-2026 Audited Consolidated Financial Statements
The Board of Education approved the Audited Consolidated Financial Statements for the year ended June 30, 2026, including the appropriation of operating and local capital supplies and the transfer of funds from operating surplus to local capital.
Trustee Indemnities 2026-2030
The Board of Education approved Motions 1-4 and 6 trustee indemnities for members of the Board of Education for December 1, 2026 to November 30, 2030, (Quadrennium).
